Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using knoc's LTB document automation platform. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using knoc's services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

knoc provides a document automation platform for Ontario landlords and property managers to prepare and manage LTB (Landlord and Tenant Board) forms, including N4 notices, L1 applications, and Certificates of Service. Our platform is a document management tool and does not provide legal advice.

3. Important Disclaimer

knoc is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our platform assists with document preparation and management but does not constitute legal representation. You are responsible for ensuring that all documents comply with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and LTB requirements. We recommend consulting with a qualified legal professional for legal advice regarding your specific situation.

4. User Account and Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete information when using our services
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Reviewing and verifying all generated documents before submission

5. Subscription and Payment

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and access will continue until the end of your billing period.

6. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable and uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, knoc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost rent, or damages arising from the use or inability to use our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the knoc platform are owned by knoc and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform without our express written permission.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for breach of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately, and we may delete your account and data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
